This post is gonna be a little more personal than the usual. A few months back I told my best friend Riley about my secret dream of mermaidhood. I was too embarrassed to tell anyone else, but I know I can always count on Riley to be fully supportive of my dreams. But when I told her she was more than supportive; she wanted to be a mermaid too! About 27 days ago, I did the Insouciant Spell and yesterday I told Riley that in a few days I was gonna be a mermaid. She insisted that she do the spell too and that is how she ended up in my bathroom with her feet soaking in the bathtub pronouncing words she didn't know the meaning to. So I guess we're both gonna be mermaids now!

Hiya I have wrote down the spell to become a mermaid and I was just wondering how long does it take to become a mermaid and can you touch water when the spell is working ?

It really depends what spell you are talking about, some take only a few days while others up to six months. Most sources say the insouciant spell takes 29 to 31 days (roughly a month). Yes you can touch water while waiting for a spell to take affect but you may experience side effects such as rashes, difficulty breathing, discoloration, etc.
