Updated Mermaid Names!

I have been dying to do an updated mermaid name post! Older aspiring mermaids can keep their mermaid names from my older post (such as me! Forever Melusine Aqua!) or give themselves a new name! It's all good fun! This is just a list of what I believe are great mermaid names, feel free to make up your own or add first names, last names, or middle names. Also check out my older post as these names will all be new.

Anaitis: Greek version of Anahita
Alana, Adella, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Aquata: sisters of Ariel, the little mermaid

Insouciant Spell Review

As you all know from my "Insouciant Spell: a Curse?" post I am suspicious and critical of the Insouciant Spell. I decided to share my experience with it.

Long story short: It did not work. No side effects, nothing. I followed the instructions perfectly. I recited the spell touching water (granted, I did stumble with the words a bit). I wore my symbol (a necklace with a shell) for 31 days straight and nothing happened. Funnily enough, the chain on my necklace broke around 2 days after the 31 days finished.

And from what I've heard from my friend Riley, it did not work for her either.

Can anyone share their experience with the Insouciant Spell? Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Did this spell work for anyone? Did any other spells work for anyone? Please let me know!

Sincerely,

Melusine Aqua

Super Simple New Method of Becoming A Mermaid?

Hi all! I'm back and with a potential new method for becoming a mermaid!

One of my favourite websites for a wide variety of mermaid spells is Spells of the Sea. I was looking through their spells on their How to Become a Mermaid page when I found one that seemed super simple!

you become a mermaid you go into a pool on a full moon i'm sore every body tould you this , but you go into a pool on a full moon at the time of eight thirthy or at twelve oclock i guess you'll become one or thats just what i heard so if it dosn't work i'am sooooooooo sorry i got your hopes up If you have a pool swim in it on a full moon and then the next day when you are in your pool you are a mermaid this is how i became one i was swimming and the full moon came out it illuminated the watertouch water on a full moon. (warning DO NOT DO THIS AFTER YOU ARE A MERMAID. side effects may include, a sudden need to cause trobule, turning into a siren witch is a evil mermaid that attracts boys with her angelic voice.) Hope you are  with your powers!
No spells, no equipment. I'll definitely try this one out and post a review next full moon. I'm pretty sure this would work or maybe even work better if you did it in an ocean. If you don't have access to a pool or beach, there are still lots of spells on the site that you can try out in your bathtub.

The trouble is that there are very limited and vague mermaid spell reviews since a) there is a very small number of existing and aspiring mermaids and b) there is a very small number of existing and aspiring mermaids willing to/in the position to share their stories. So figuring out which spells work and which don't is very much a trial and error process especially considering some spells work for some people and others don't.

I'd love to hear spell reviews from you guys!

Sincerely,

Melusine Aqua
